The Proframe cycling helmet is equipped with MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System), which redistributes forces in a crash so that as little force as possible is transmitted to the head and brain. MTB helmets without MIPS are usually tested by dropping them vertically onto a flat surface, which most often does not reflect a real-world fall.
